The Association of Kerala Government College Teachers is the vanguard of the government college teachers’ movement in Kerala. Having the distinction of being the only recognized organization of the government college teachers of Kerala, it is steadfastly committed to its objectives of taking up the cause of the fraternity of teachers of higher education, along with preparing the sector to meet the threats from the ubiquitous technology and money capital by ensuring improved sustainable quality in the field. The AKGCT is also unflinching in its efforts to make quality education accessible to all especially the marginalized sections of our society. Reinvigorated with the induction of most of the new generation teachers in the field, the Association is poised to advance its position on the bandwagon of change: educational, cultural, social and political.
